No big deal. This is just another unintelligent PR campaign tries to grab attention from Singaporeans. The Singa lion simply hopes that flocks of people rush forward to urge It to withdraw the resignation; and strive to spur its citizens to be more gracious…
It’s not going to work this way. In fact, SINGA evokes no emotional feeling at all.
To be more realistic, moves on houses/property-buying policy and car COE have more impact to the people’s emotion these days…

Singapore Church Fund Scandal On Trial
According to the local media reports, pastor Kong and his “executive committee” members are alleged siphoning their church building fund to support their own “projects” (I.e. commonly known as the Singing Wife project in USA) without truly informing the church members. Things were kept in a harsh-harsh manner. The amount involved is about S$24m !
Comments from local coffeehouse old folks are mixed. Some say it is OK so long as most of the church members are supportive of pastor Kong’s wife so singing career.
But some felt that this is not right as it is public fund being misappropriated.
Some say that Kong’s wife can’t sing…

This is a story of alleged sex for grades happened in the best university in Lioncity state.
According to the news report, this Prof Tey has become “unfit for courtroom case hearing…” So the case would be postponed until his mental state is examined by medical doctors.
Roadside people got confused as to how could this “Dissociative State” suddenly happens to a law professor who’s smart enough to obtain sex for grades in return from his student(s)? Is it a plain delay tactic? But who knows, it could be true that Prof Tey is very “dissociated ” after he was exposed of his abuse case ?
The truth will only be out when the verdict is passed.

Once upon a time, the chief of general staff of the German Army (in the 1930s) made his point about what type of officers he would have chosen for his army, read the following,
While he was clearly talking about military endeavours, such classification of human caliber still serve a great purpose in today’s society.
But to make the general’s theory more relevant in today’s context, we should also consider the three factors in conjunction.
Examples:
(1) Factor of Leadership Development. The German general’s theory applies well in this context.
(2) Factor of Academic Development. Those who are Clever but Lazy will never make it unlike the same class in the military as the general had predicted.
(3) Factor of Career Development. In the civilian career sector, those who are Clever yet Lazy know how to seize opportunities and advance their wealth and well being. Clever and Hardworking will succeed eventually when they encounter good bosses along the way.
There’s one class of description that applies across the board – Those Stupid and Industrous/Lazy type. Unless rare lucky strike comes upon them, they never live a meaningful life in whatever circumstances. They fail badly in their endeavours yet they don’t know why.
Pastoral staff who are Stupid yet Industrous often used to think that they are of “CEO” material; yet they simply lead their church into the wilderness…
