    Well … Canada did not exactly freeze over, – much of the US Mid-South did. Canadians are quite used to freezing temperatures and although a few parts of Canada were hit by slightly colder temperatures, the -10c to -20c temperatures were really not that special. What made this special was the effect it had on our Southern neighbours. Welcome to Canada – make sure you have a good toque for the winters and some good beachwear for the hot summers. This should elaborate on what we mean by HOT and COLD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_extreme_temperatures_in_Canada
